Ancient Vikings and Modern Ones

Hello, and welcome to American Dissident Voices, the radio outreach program of the National Alliance. I'm your host and Chairman of the Alliance, Erich Gliebe.

If you tuned in last week, you might remember our discussion of the failed terrorist plots in Britain. We discussed last week how the combination of the bad foreign and domestic policies in the West have inevitably led us to the point where we are today. To summarize briefly:

The foreign policies -- particularly those of Britain and the United States -- have been tailored to meet the needs of the Jewish Establishment, especially with regard to Israel. And since the domestic policies of White Western nations have been wholly multiracial, we now have millions of Arabic and/or Muslim citizens in the West, who quite logically are upset by the obvious bias against their kinsmen in the Middle East. And so it was simply a matter of time before Muslim extremists took advantage of the inroads they have been given in the West and struck back. Any fool could have predicted it.

It's very close to coming to the point that every White Briton or White American is going to be wondering if the Pakistani or Lebanese computer technician at work is a terrorist or if the Chinese graduate student working part-time as a cook at a Chinese restaurant in a university town is a spy. We aren't there yet, and of course the Jewish-dominated media work very hard in an effort to ensure that White Americans DON'T think this way, but it won't be long before every White will be eying with suspicion the South and East Asians that are found everywhere in the West these days.

I suggested at the end of last week's broadcast that the way to solve this terrorism and potential-terrorism problem is to do two things. First, we need to separate the races; in particular, we Whites need a living space of our own. If the other races of the planet want to carve out an area for themselves, that's fine, but our only responsibility is to ourselves and our descendants.

Secondly, once this homogeneous White nation has been secured, we need to make sure that our foreign policy shows no preference for Israel. In other words, when we've got our new White nation, the Jews' days of calling the shots in the White West will be over. Their days of mooching free military hardware and technological secrets will be over. Their days of getting an immediate and massive sympathetic response when they begin whining about the so-called "Holocaust" will be over. At that point in time, the Jews will have to either stand on their own two feet or they will have to find another race to feed off of in their parasitic approach to life.

Anyway, something unusual hit the news a few weeks back that I'd like to spend a little time thinking about today. That news item was the story about 65 volunteers -- mostly amateur historians and sailors -- who set off on July 1st from a fjord at Roskilde, Denmark in a reconstruction of a Viking ship. The destination, like that of many Viking ships in the almost-forgotten past, was Ireland, although these Vikings weren't out to pillage and plunder the Christian monasteries of Ireland as did their forebears. Rather, the 100-foot, 7.5-ton Sea Stallion -- made of oak and iron rivets -- set out so that its occupants could better understand the challenges and nuances of an actual, long-distance Viking expedition.

This method of historical data-gathering does not involve the unearthing of artifacts and the excavation of lost cities or graveyards, but instead involves the use of known tools (reconstructions, of course) to accomplish certain tasks. That is, the type of data that is being gathered in the Sea Stallion's 1,200-mile trip across the North Sea to Dublin (which was founded by Vikings in the 9th Century) is not "What was done?" data or "With what was it done?" data, but instead "How was it done?" data.

That's simply a different way of looking at history, and it gives archeologists, scientists, and historians a fuller picture of the life of the studied culture. In addition, it might provide new insights into the use of artifacts that had, until then, been thought to be completely understood. Basically, such a quest should fill in the existing picture and add to it.

The voyage of the Sea Stallion is projected to take about seven weeks, which means that if all goes well the modern Vikings should arrive to a welcome reception in Dublin on the 14th or 15th of next month. Vikings getting warm receptions in Ireland have been rarities in history, but then again so are Vikings who are sailing a ship wearing modern life vests.

This voyage of the Sea Stallion toward a successful landing in Ireland is a little bit like our voyage to gain the ultimate victory for Our Cause.

For one thing, both efforts are international ones. The voyage of the Sea Stallion consists of 65 volunteers from various countries in Europe, and Our Cause consists of White people from every corner of the globe, no matter where they live. Although the work of the National Alliance is centered on the Western Hemisphere, we are an international organization devoted to the education and organization of dedicated and determined White men and women from around the world. And we are just as concerned with racial affairs in other parts of the White world -- such as Europe, Australia, and southern Africa -- as we are with racial affairs in the United States and Canada.

And there are various pro-White organizations based in other countries whose members feel the same way we do. They understand that we Whites are all in the same boat, and that the success or failure of one portion of us will contribute to the success or failure of every other part. Even for nationalist organizations in Europe, for example -- which downplay race and speak instead about reviving the spirit of nationalism in their countries -- I believe that, deep down, the men and women in these organizations realize the importance of the whole race working together if we are to have a future. The only reason that race is not a more prevalent topic among the nationalist organizations of Europe is that, in large measure, "race" as a topic of discussion has been outlawed by "hate speech" laws throughout much of Europe.

So, White racial internationalism is a key tenet in Our Cause. And just as the 65 volunteers aboard the Sea Stallion aren't going to bicker and argue about petty national rivalries (not seriously, anyway), the adherents to Our Cause -- no matter where they live -- are beyond the fratricidal quarrels that came up so often in our race's past. For instance, two dedicated activists of Our Cause, a German and a Russian, are not going to debate with each other about the suffering that each of those countries brought upon the other during the Second World War. Both countries suffered and the Jews got their way: end of story. But the point is that the German and the Russian should both realize that, if the race is to survive this most dangerous era in our history, we are going to have to stick together, no matter what happened in the past.

Another similarity between the Sea Stallion's voyagers and Our Cause is that we both know where we're headed. The Sea Stallion is headed to Ireland, and Our Cause is headed toward a monoracial homeland. Just as the 21st Century Vikings will recognize Dublin when they see it, we too will recognize the conditions we require to exist when we see them. Those conditions are a Whites-only living space and a society guided by the racialist ideals that presently guide Our Cause, as we seek to influence the crumbling multiracial society of today. Our society will have a forward-looking government that considers the well-being of the race before everything else, an educational system that seeks a complete education of the students -- ethical, academic, and physical -- and a media that will never again be allowed to be influenced, much less controlled, by any alien group on the planet.

And just because we know where we're headed doesn't mean that it's an easy road to get there. There are lots of unknown pitfalls that might surface on the way. Neither the modern Vikings on the Sea Stallion nor the activists of Our Cause know exactly what obstacles will arise in the future, but both groups have confidence in the necessity of their journeys and in their ability to figure out a workable solution to anything that stands in their way.

Besides being international efforts and knowing where we're headed, the Sea Stallion voyagers and Our Cause are both bringing to the task at hand the tools of the past. I mentioned earlier that the Sea Stallion is a reconstruction of a Viking ship, but I didn't say that it is the largest reconstructed Viking ship ever. It is a copy of an actual ship excavated from Roskilde fjord in 1962, after having lain buried at the bottom for nearly a thousand years. Like the original ship, the Sea Stallion is powered by sail, and essentially every part of the ship is true to the original.

Our Cause today also takes what it can from the past and uses it for the present purpose. We have knowledge of the values, legends, and folkways of our people from thousands of years ago to guide us. We have the great stories of heroism and sacrifice to inspire us, and the fatal errors made by some of our forebears to guide us in our actions. We have the architecture and music and poetry of our great race's history to give us confidence that Our Cause is something that is definitely worth fighting for, no matter what the popular opinion of the day might have to say about it.

And the last similarity between the voyage of the Sea Stallion and Our Cause that I'd like to mention is that we both are approaching our tasks with the most modern tools at our disposal. Unlike their ancestors of a thousand years ago, the Vikings who set out from Roskilde fjord on July 1st are equipped with the latest and greatest technology to help see them through. That modern technology includes a GPS navigation system and positioning radar, two items whose capabilities would shock our original Viking ancestors. Like the cabinetmaker who uses the best and most powerful tools at his disposal in forming his wooden creations, it only makes sense that, if you're going to undertake a task, you might as well give yourself every opportunity to succeed.

We are doing that today in Our Cause. Not only are we sticking to tried-and-true methods of public outreach -- such as demonstrations, cultural festivals, and printed media -- we are also exploiting every other possible means to reach our demoralized kinsmen. We continue to promote White racialist musicians of every imaginable genre through Resistance Records. Our Internet outreach efforts continue to grow in scope and popularity; in particular, our National Alliance News site (www.natallnews.com) is growing by leaps and bounds, with more and more hits every month. We've done a little of our own work with video in the past and, if things go as planned, we'd like to expand somewhat in that direction, too. So just like the Sea Stallion's voyagers, we aren't relying only on the past to get us through; we are using the combination of the past and the present in hopes of securing a viable future.

If you've been an activist in Our Cause for any length of time, you are probably looking at the voyage of the Sea Stallion and at least temporarily wishing that securing our racial homeland would be as straightforward a task as the Sea Stallion making it to Ireland. For one thing, no conscious force is hindering the success of the Sea Stallion. Sure, a storm or two might come up -- and dealing with a storm on the open sea in an uncovered boat is no picnic -- but no active enemies like the Jewish Establishment or a corrupt government are hatching plans to bring failure down upon the Sea Stallion.

That's not the case with Our Cause. We've discussed on numerous earlier programs about how White racialist or Holocaust revisionist leaders -- from Shaun Walker to David Irving to Ernst Zundel -- have been selectively targeted by an establishment that abuses its power and is attempting to stifle the creative energy embodied in Our Cause.

In addition, the Sea Stallion is accompanied -- at least part of the way -- by a modern support vessel that can come to the aid of the 65-man reconstruction in an emergency. Obviously, the volunteer sailors don't want to have to resort to being bailed out by a modern craft, but it's there if need be.

We have no such external support vessel in Our Cause. The only support we have is the creativity, ingenuity, and dedication of our activists and of the growing number of those who are starting to pay very close attention to what we've been saying about what's wrong with the world and what we need to do about it. No one is going to save us except us. That's a scary thought for people who have become used to leaning on someone else their whole lives, but it's a thought that our people have been able to work through since the beginning. Most recently on this continent, the brave White men and women who settled the American West knew very well that no one was going to save them except themselves. They had to be self-reliant out of necessity. And today in Our Cause, we have to possess a similar measure of that confidence, that self-reliance, and that determination to succeed against all odds.

Over a thousand years ago, the Vikings weren't satisfied with their lot in life. A life of fishing, hunting, and a limited agriculture that a short growing season in the northern climes could support just weren't enough. They wanted more.

And they got it. They built boats and used the seas as highways. They built vast networks of trade to everywhere in northern Europe, into the Mediterranean, and all the way to what is now Istanbul, Turkey. And when going back and forth between the trade routes and home lost its luster, they began to found settlements in faraway lands, where they could have room to breathe again, and to live according to their own code of living, and to be themselves. From Normandy to the British Isles, and even to Russia and North America, Viking explorers built settlements founded on the ethics that had ruled Viking society for many generations.

And that's what we're trying to do today in Our Cause. We aren't satisfied with the present way of things, in which our people are taught to hate themselves and to love their biological enemies. We aren't content to watch our great people squander away its genetic inheritance due to the shortsightedness of its weak leaders, who allow themselves to be mere marionettes whose strings are pulled by the alien group that controls our channels of information. We aren't content to stand idly by as our race is pushed closer and closer to the brink of annihilation.

We want a new land, a Whites-only homeland. We want room to breathe freely again, to live according to our own code of living, and to just be ourselves.

Achieving all of that won't be easy, just like it wasn't easy for the Vikings a thousand years ago who sailed across thousands of miles of treacherous seas, often not knowing exactly what they'd find. But they did it.

The American pioneers had a tough job to do in settling the West, but they had faith in themselves and they persevered... and they succeeded.

As the saying goes, Rome wasn't built in a day, but -- with all its faults -- it was a pretty remarkable achievement of Western civilization.

Let's take courage from the men and women of our race who came before us to do great things... because we've got a great thing to do. I'm sure the 65 volunteers aboard the Sea Stallion are going to succeed, and Our Cause needs a lot more volunteers than that if it is to triumph over the forces of decay that are dead-set on killing our race. You should be one of those volunteers.
