Hello, and welcome back to another edition of American Dissident Voices, the Internet radio program of North America's foremost racialist organization, the National Alliance. I'm your host and the Chairman of the Alliance, Erich Gliebe.
The issue of government-funded insurance has taken a few interesting turns
over the last few weeks. For one thing, the proponents of the plan are
starting to think that they are getting close to the point where they have
enough votes to get the legislation through Congress. That wasn't the case a
few months ago, when it looked like the issue was going to die for lack of
support, while other issues like the escalating conflict in Afghanistan were
muscling into the limelight. But, although the public's anger about the
continuing American failures in the Middle East hasn't abated, universal
health care has gotten a shot in the arm of late, if you'll pardon the pun.
With universal government health insurance apparently looming on the
horizon, opponents of the measure have taken a new tactic to rally support
to their side of the issue: the question of whether the government should
provide health insurance for illegal immigrants. If you haven't heard about
the big feather-ruffling that has occurred for the last two weeks, you have
been living in a hole. But, just so we are all on the same page, South
Carolina Republican Congressman Joe Wilson shouted, "You lie!" at President
Obama after the President had stated that illegal immigrants wouldn't be
covered under his health plan.
The aftermath has been predictable. The liberals and Democrats and media
people and the easily-offended American intellectuals just about fainted
over the ghastly nature of Wilson's crime, and Wilson himself has apologized
to the point where everyone - even those who were calling for his head two
weeks ago - would prefer that he just shut up about it.
Of course, anyone who is anyone knows that Wilson was essentially right in
his assertion that President Obama lies when he says that illegal immigrants
won't have access to government insurance. Even if the letter of the law
denies illegal immigrants access to that insurance, the government - that
is, the taxpayers - will still foot the bill for medical treatment of
illegals. The fact that the proposed legislation for universal healthcare
leaves illegals out doesn't hold any water; after all, there is plenty of
legislation saying that illegal immigrants aren't supposed to be in this
country, and nobody in the government seems too worried about enforcing
those rules.
The ironic truth is that illegal immigrants who wind up in medical
facilities for treatment basically have insurance right now. By law, medical
facilities are required to provide emergency care and other services to
illegal immigrants. And even though the federal government gives hundreds of
millions of taxpayer dollars to hospitals to reimburse medical costs for
catering to illegal immigrants, billions every year have to be absorbed by
hospitals or simply written off on taxes. In other words, by providing
medical care to illegals RIGHT NOW - when there is as yet no such thing as
government-funded, universal health care - our taxes are used to pay for
those expenses AND, in addition, whatever isn't covered by our taxes results
in higher medical costs for the rest of us, who ARE here legally and who CAN
pay or who DO have private insurance.
So Representative Wilson's emphatic "You lie!" last week wasn't really even
about the current government insurance proposal. It was about the medical
policy on illegal immigrants as it stands right now, with the entirely
logical assumption that the existing problem will snowball a million-fold if
the Congress enacts legislation guaranteeing universal healthcare for all
Americans. Those who are here who are NOT citizens and who pay NO income or
property taxes would certainly benefit from the government's generosity in
doling out tax money wrung out of hardworking Americans.
There are two underlying issues coming to a head here. One is that of
fairness. In the midst of every media voice and most of the political world
demanding that the United States government and its people give to illegal
immigrants everything they demand - including citizenship, medical
insurance, welfare benefits, free education, high-paying jobs, and so on -
there is the issue as to whether all of that whining and demanding makes
sense in terms of what is fair to the rest of us.
Let's consider one question related to fairness: Does a nation have the
right to choose to exclude some people from the ranks of citizenship? If the
answer is "yes," then the open-borders people in the media and elsewhere
have no leg to stand on, and all of their open-borders nonsense goes right
down the drain. Historically, civilizations have consistently answered "yes"
to that question, as we can clearly see from still-existing structures like
Hadrian's Wall in northern England and the Great Wall of China, as well as
by the many historical documents by which this or that Gentile king gave the
boot to the butt of every Jew in his kingdom.
On the other hand, if the answer is "no" - that is, a nation should have no
right to exclude anyone from its ranks, as the Jewish media continue to push
for - then where do we draw the line? Should every single person on the
planet have the right to immigrate to North America and become an American
citizen? Obviously, with nearly seven billion human beings on the planet,
that situation isn't possible, so there HAVE to be criteria to keep some
people out. Hard decisions have to be made with regard to what must be done
and how, and since our recent ancestors couldn't find it within themselves
to make those decisions and see them put into practice, that unpleasant job
falls to this generation of Whites. Our actions over the next decade will
show whether or not we have the courage to stand up for the survival of the
White race.
Now, White racialists generally - and the National Alliance in particular -
advocate that the criterion of race should be the one that governs which
immigrants get into the United States and which ones don't. This criterion,
we believe, is the one that is most consistent with the known facts of
biology and with what is presently understood about culture, civilizations,
and history. The Jews and their allies, on the other hand, have absolutely
NO criterion by which immigrants should be differentiated, other than the
overwhelming message we get from the Jewish media is that it is somehow
WRONG and UNFAIR to try to prevent more non-Whites from entering the
country. And, of course, the federal government's refusal to enforce the
security of our borders only reinforces the perception in many people's
minds that the government cares more about the welfare of penniless mestizos
who don't speak English than it does about those of us who are already here
and working our tails off just to make ends meet. We are told by those with
access to the microphones that we aren't being FAIR if we try to exclude
non-White immigrants, when the truth is that a non-White flood will result
in our extinction, an event which I and many others think is quite unfair.
So fairness is one issue here, and the other is one of political will.
Political will is the determination to accomplish what you say you are going
to do. It is the desire and ability to "walk the talk." I remember a few
years ago, former President George W. Bush stated that he wanted NASA to put
a man on Mars. I remember laughing out loud when I first heard that on CNN
and saying to myself: "What an idiot! As if, aside from the expense, America
any longer had the will to complete such an undertaking!" Unlike most honest
and intelligent observers, George W. Bush apparently had no understanding
that it isn't merely money that makes things happen, it is also will and a
feeling of a common purpose. Those things weren't universal back in the
1960s and 1970s, when the Apollo missions were taking men back and forth to
and from the Moon, but they were prevalent in a much larger fraction of the
American population, which was still around 90% White at the time. That
population is less than 70% White now, and there is no unity of purpose, and
thus there is a corresponding lack of political will.
Consider again the illegal immigrant situation. The laws against illegal
immigration are on the books, but the government doesn't have the political
will to enforce them, and the American population doesn't have the political
will to demand enforcement from its government, which is hamstrung by the
Jewish media.
Of course, the lack of political will today is evident in more places than
with illegal immigration. Consider the welfare state, which is a problem so
convoluted and pervasive that it is virtually impossible to analyze and
summarize fully, certainly not in as small a space as this broadcast allows.
So I will paint with a broad brush and, as a result, oversimplify somewhat.
Nonetheless, for any nation to allow tens of millions of able-bodied
citizens to sit idle, with nothing to do but receive government-subsidized
housing, spend food coupons on soda and junk food, and breed into being more
members of the welfare army. is to condemn such a nation to death. The
government lacks the political will to enforce any type of accountability
within the welfare system, just as it lacks the will to address the
non-White immigration issue.
And so the fear of the most outspoken critics of President Obama's universal
health plan is that the legislation will open the floodgates of tax dollars
and that - yet again - the abuses of the legislation will simply be
overlooked. because the government lacks the will to take a strong line and
do so. It is so much easier to knuckle under and give in to abuses of
universal health coverage or illegal immigration or the welfare system
because to take a strong stance is to bring upon the politicians' heads the
condemnation of the Jewish media.
And from the viewpoint of a corrupt politician, who would want to fight that
battle? Every other politician knuckles under to the media, and any of them
who didn't would be hounded out of office, as was Illinois Representative
Paul Findley in 1983, after his public criticism of America's brown-nosing
of Israel.
So the proposed government-funded medical insurance is viewed by opponents
as legislation that will further burden the working people of America,
beyond the burdens imposed by such things as illegal immigration and the
welfare state, which the current System and its worldview and its political
prostitutes don't have the will to straighten out.
What we want in the National Alliance is a new nation: a White nation that
is guided by the ideals of progressive racialism. This nation would be led
by true leaders who make decisions that are likely to ensure the survival
and progress of the White race and who have the will and stamina and
toughness to see to it that those decisions become actual realities in the
life and work of our new White society.
Whether this nation would have a universal healthcare system or a welfare
system, I can't say; there are a multitude of other things that need to be
taken care of before such questions can be answered. Certainly, there is a
precedent of a liberal social policy within a racialist state in the example
of National Socialist Germany from the last century: liberal in the sense
that the state tried to ensure the prosperity of all elements of the German
population, within the confines of what is in the best interests of the
German nation, without letting the individual becoming MORE important than
the society. Of course, Hitler made accountability a key feature of German
social policy, a feature that - as I've mentioned - is totally lacking in
American social programs today. Liberal social policies are also prominent
throughout most of White Europe today, and they work - so long as the
population is overwhelmingly White and the people buy into the attitude that
one must work, if one can, before one can eat. Here again, that attitude is
nonexistent among those who benefit most from the American government's lack
of political will.
Anyway, if you agree with me and the other members of the National Alliance
that a White nation guided by progressive idealism and possessing a will to
action would be far superior to the floundering insanity that IS the United
States today, then you owe it to yourself and your children to bend your
will toward that end. Check out our organization and our program of racial
renewal, and then make the commitment to contribute to our people's future.
I'm Erich Gliebe, and thanks for being with me again today.
