We should offer up our own candidates for public office, they say, so that at least on the local level, someone will be working through the System to promote the well-being of our race. After all, the NSDAP did just that, and did it so successfully that it didn't take too many years before Hitler's party swept into power in Germany through democratic elections. This is somewhat ironic because in Mein Kampf, Hitler made no bones about his revulsion for parliamentarianism. And yet he realized after the unsuccessful Beer Hall Putsch in November of 1923 that there was a definite need for the NSDAP to gain a much wider following among the German people if his hope of transforming the country into an Aryan racial state was to be achieved. And so the Party began campaigning in earnest and, within ten years, the National Socialists had secured their mandate from the people. A contemporary example of a race-oriented organization taking an active role in the democratic political process is the British National Party. Other racial-nationalist groups throughout Europe -- whose main campaign issue is immigration -- have also popped up and tried to raise awareness and win seats over the last two decades or so. For its part, the BNP has had quite a few electoral successes over the years, and recently had one of its leaders, Richard Barnbrook, win a seat in the London Assembly. But the political and social climate in Britain is vastly different from that in the United States, and for us to follow the example of the BNP would be for us to overlook -- to our detriment -- these significant differences. For one thing, the British and other Europeans have a much better connection to their soil than do Americans and because of that, they are more willing to use their existing system of government to hang onto that soil. Most White Americans feel guilty about taking this country away from the Indians, and so more easily accept the Jews leading the charge to destroy White America. "We took it from the Indians, so if it falls out of our hands, it serves us right:" that's the attitude taken by many American Whites, even if it's only on a subliminal level. The attitude here is somewhat like those of the White Rhodesians and White South Africans, most of whom felt that the land was taken from the Blacks, and thus weren't interested in fighting to the death for it. Racially-minded Europeans, on the other hand, firmly believe that their country belongs to them, and they honestly believe that democracy can help them regain complete control over their countries. In addition, the multiple-party systems in Europe allow some degree of leeway for "outsiders" to work their way into the power structure, whereas the two-party system here virtually ensures that third- or fourth-party candidates are ignored. This fact, coupled with the large sums of money that are required to run for public office, make the putting of Alliance members on ballots an impossibility. We don't want to be ignored and we don't have nearly enough money. And even if we DID have enough money, we'd use it on more useful projects rather than fritter it away on political campaigns. And then there is the problem with democracy itself. Even majorities in a democratic government often are unable to get things done and are hamstrung by the system of checks and balances, in addition to the general sluggishness of business because of debates, motions, and votes. Consider what happened in November of 2006. The Democrats took control of the House of Representatives with the firm purpose of ending our involvement in Iraq. Nearly two years later, nothing has changed. Our soldiers are still being killed on a daily basis and we are still flushing our money down the toilet of the Middle East. Democracy -- particularly mass democracy -- is simply not a system of government that is conducive to achieving any of our racial goals. Another phenomenon we have here in America is "White flight," something that is quite difficult to take place in tiny Britain. In America, when the cities become too dark, the Whites move out into the suburbs. When the suburbs become too dark, Whites then move out into the next county. This relative spaciousness thus encourages a general tendency in America to run away from problems rather than confront them. If we aren't willing to confront our racial issues, then what good is democracy anyway? Of course, it would be nice to have White racialists holding public office, and perhaps some of our members may indeed make it into local politics. Several Alliance members have done so in the past, although little has come of their efforts. So for the time being, we need to build our infrastructure with our membership cadre. Every member needs to find his or her niche in being in the best possible position to help Our Cause. And we must continue building our media outreach network so that we can reach as many people as possible with our message, thus enabling us to reach our future political leaders, writers, business owners, teachers, artists, workers, and so on. Racialist or nationalist thinkers have tried to make an entry into mainstream politics in the past. The National States' Rights Party and the Populist Party are two organizations that come to mind for those of us who know the history of Our Cause. But no one outside the Cause knows anything at all about these groups and certainly doesn't think either of them changed the course of history in America. And, of course, they are right. Party politics didn't work in the past, and it isn't going to work for us today. If something is worth doing -- even if it is a new idea -- we'll be glad to give it a try, as long as we won't be watering down our hardcore message that the races MUST be separated, completely and permanently. But for us, democratic politics isn't worth doing. Find your niche and keep working hard. Give Our Cause your very best effort. We owe it to our children, and our children's children, and, of course, we also owe it to the memory of those who came before us, many of whom gave their lives so that we could be here today.
