No Looking Back

Welcome to another edition of American Dissident Voices, the
Internet radio program of the National Alliance. I'm your host
and the Chairman of the Alliance, Erich Gliebe.

I've been a part of the White Racialist Cause for quite a while
now, and I've met some interesting people in that time. Some of
them are among the people I respect the most, like the late Dr.
William Pierce, who founded the National Alliance back in the
1970s. Dr. Pierce was a father-figure to me, and his combination
of intelligence, far-reaching knowledge, and fighting spirit had
a profound impact on not only me, but also on uncounted thousands
of White people all over the world. Dr. Pierce's achievements
still stand today as the unique contribution of one man to the
Cause that values, above all else, the survival and progress of
the White race. And there are many others whom I've met through
racialist activism whose achievements, compared to Dr. Pierce's,
fall far short but whom I nonetheless respect as sincere men and
women who truly have the best and long-term interests of our race
in their hearts and minds.

And, of course, I have met a small number of VERY interesting
White people through my racial activism. Some of these are people
who talk constantly about the so-called "movement" and who jump
from group to group so that they can always find new suckers to
complain to and to share their nutty theories with. Usually,
these people don't remain a part of the legitimate White
Racialist Cause for very long, and most of them lack the stamina
to stick with anything for very long at all. Unfortunately, these
are the very people that the Jewish media can pick out of just
about any crowd of racialists, and it is these people who are
paraded in the mass media as representative of the adherents of
the White Racialist Cause.

I can tell you that the White Racialist Cause, like any other
cause that recruits from the public, contains a certain
percentage of true activists and a tiny number of nutcases or, as
Dr. Pierce used to call them: hobbyists. That shouldn't come as a
surprise to anyone, since the laws of probability almost
guarantee this to be the case for any large group. That's the way
it has always been in large political or religious movements, and
that's the way it is in the White Racialist Cause, which spans
many nations and languages, embracing many different people who
have in common only our genetic heritage and the love of our
race. Other large political and social groups, like the
Republican and Democratic Parties, are no different on this
count, in the sense that there is a wide distribution of
intelligence, talents, and willpower in these groups as well.

The National Socialist German Workers Party had a similar
distribution: age differences, class differences, religious
differences and, of course, ideological and personality
differences. The true genius of Adolf Hitler was in his ability
to unite the disparate opinions and forces within the Party --
within all of Germany, Party member or not -- and to get them all
working for the betterment of Germany. Had Britain and the other
Western nations NOT ganged up on Germany and had, instead, joined
forces with it to help stamp out the plague of Soviet Communism,
Hitler would have easily been the most successful political
leader of the 20th Century. As it was, in spite of all this, the
list of Hitler's achievements in reuniting a Germany torn apart
by the infamous Treaty of Versailles and pulling it out of the
swamp of depression are still remarkable.

I don't know about you, but sometimes I catch myself wondering,
"What if?" What if Britain and America had allied themselves with
Germany against the Soviet Union, as the American General George
Patton realized -- too late -- should have been done? What if our
ancestors hadn't allowed the Jews to infiltrate our media, our
business structure, and our political establishment? What if our
White ancestors hadn't been so shortsighted as to bring African
slaves to the New World in order to do work that could just as
easily have been done by White men? What if? What if? What if?

I've met and talked with a lot of people who seem to ask "What
if?" quite a bit. There have been many "What if?" people who have
come and gone in the White Racialist Cause generally and the
National Alliance specifically. "What if?" people are just one of
the many subsets of diverse Whites that can be found within the
Cause. Most of these "What if?" people are fairly intelligent,
and most of them have a pretty good grasp of history, better than
my grasp, in some cases. They've read a lot of books on European
and American history, and not just from the Second World War, but
as far back as you can get in the historical record. Most "What
if?" people can speak lucidly on who did what when and where they
did it, and they have a clear understanding of cause and effect;
namely, why things are the way they are, such as why the White
race is in such a precarious situation on a worldwide scale
today. If you are looking for someone to explain the White racial
situation and how it got that way to someone who doesn't have a
lot of experience with racialist thinking, these "What if?"
people are just the people for the job.

It goes practically without saying that these well-meaning White
people who are "What if?" people when they are asking questions
automatically become "If only…" people when they are making
statements. "If only…" such-and-such a White leader, who held the
future of the race in his hands at some particular time, had done
this or that. THEN our race wouldn't be in this situation. "If
only…" our people hadn't gone along with the Jews' plans for us
to destroy this or give up that. THEN our race wouldn't be in
this situation. "If only…" we hadn't let our infatuation with who
had the right conception of God override our better judgment.
THEN our race wouldn't be in this situation. And on and on. "What
if?" "If only…" "What if?" "If only…" These people can talk your
ear off, and they are usually pretty interesting, too.

Often, the problem with "What if?" or "If only…" people is that
they refuse to go beyond these questions. They are so mired in
the past that the future doesn't count for much, in their minds.
The question, "Well, what do we do about it now?" doesn't elicit
much of a response from them. Whether they admit it or not, most
"What if?" or "If only.." people have, probably at an unconscious
level, accepted the unproven notion that the best days of the
White race are over, and that the future is simply a question of
how soon our race will fall off the edge into the abyss. They
don't want to ponder "How soon?" -- after all, at some level,
they really DO love their race -- and so to avoid that terrible
question, they persist in their infatuation with the past, and
burn the time away asking, "What if?" and stating definitively,
"If only…"

I'm not really sure WHY "What if?" and "If only…" people have
already written off the future of the White race. Yes, the facts
are very clear on how far we have fallen. Yes, there is no active
White racialist government anywhere. Yes, our nations that were
once nearly homogeneously populated with Whites are now so
racially polluted as to be unrecognizable.

Nowhere is the racial fall from greatness so apparent as in the
United States. I know White American racialists who, fifteen
years ago, used to get teary-eyed when they heard the national
anthem or "The Star-Spangled Banner" -- and who today can hear
the same tunes without so much as a hint of pride or heartfelt
emotion; disdain is probably a more common emotion. Decade after
decade of one's country doing its best to destroy the White race
has a way of doing that to a man.

So there is no doubt that our people are in grave danger but, on
the other hand, that doesn't necessarily mean that all is lost.
In fact, it seems to me that the only thing that is holding us
back today is too many Whites choosing to have a defeatist
attitude about our racial plight. As Shakespeare's Hamlet stated,
"There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so."
It is our frame of mind that makes all the difference. The racial
facts are irrefutable, but we have the choice to look at those
facts and believe that all is lost or we can look at them and see
an opportunity for improvement.

It's a great thing to be knowledgeable about history, but it's a
terrible thing to be imprisoned by it. "What if?" and "If only…"
people are imprisoned by history. They look back and see
homogeneous White nations in firm control of their destiny, and
they despair of that state of things ever happening again. They
look back and see that no explicitly White racialist government
has ever had the long-lasting and far-reaching impact that the
worldview of the National Alliance envisions, and they say it
can't be done today. They look back and see the overwhelming
number of cases of racial integration -- in which different races
come into contact and then mix their blood, effectively
destroying the unique identity of one or both of those races --
and they choose to believe that the United States and the other
White nations of the West can never be un-integrated.

History teaches us many things, and so it's good to have at least
a working knowledge of the subject. And history has, in fact,
taught us that the White nations of the West formerly had a much
better grip on their destiny than they do now. And history has
taught us that no explicitly White racialist government has had
the kind of success that we hope to have, following our
acquisition of a White racial homeland. And history has taught us
that the destruction of the races through integration has been
much more common than the preservation of races through voluntary
or forced separation.

But history has also taught us that those White nations of the
past -- the ones that had a firm grip on their own destiny --
failed to use that firm grip to ensure their survival and
progress. Today, we're better off, in the sense that we won't
make that mistake again.

And history has also taught us that, although no explicitly White
government has lasted, there is at least one that held on for a
dozen years against practically an entire world that was arrayed
against it. We have every reason to believe that a larger and
more international White racialist political body will have even
more success at some point in the future.

And as for un-integrating the races… there have been plenty of
efforts to remove forcibly one group of people out of the body
politic of another based on the criterion of race. For example,
does anyone know how many times the Jews have been expelled from
one nation or another throughout recorded history? A list of such
expulsions (and it's a long list) would surprise you.

And perhaps the most important lesson of history is that the
course of history is fundamentally unpredictable. There is always
a first time for something. There are patterns that recur down
through the centuries, but the patterns don't always hold; there
is always room for the creation of a new and better pattern. And
this leads us naturally to the idea that we can choose to be
responsible for the breaking of the old pattern and the making of
a new one.

There can be no more looking back. What's done is done. We should
learn history and use it to guide us, but we aren't locked in to
having to repeat the mistakes of the past. Let's learn from those
mistakes, put on a face of optimism and change, and shape our
world into one in which our people can live and flourish.

What we need to do now is to deal with our world and the racial
situation as they are right now. HOW those things got to be that
way is of academic interest only. Our main concern now is what we
need to do to improve the situation, so that we give the White
race the best possible chance of surviving.

And to do that, we have to believe in ourselves and believe that
we can build a future that holds promise. Dr. Joseph Goebbels,
the Reichminister for Propaganda in National Socialist Germany,
stated in his pamphlet entitled Nazi-Sozi: Questions and Answers:
"Have faith in the future; only thus will you win it."

Dr. Goebbels was addressing a demoralized German people, beaten
down with guilt over the First World War, economically strapped,
and politically disenfranchised. Are not White Americans in a
similar situation today? Demoralized? Beaten down with racial
guilt by the Jewish media? Trying to keep food on the table?
Politically fragmented and looking for real leadership?

There is no looking back, there is only looking forward. Join me.
