American Dissident Voices for March 28, 2009 What's Going On By Erich Gliebe Hello, and welcome back to another edition of American Dissident Voices, the Internet radio program of North America's foremost racialist organization, the National Alliance. I'm your host and the Chairman of the Alliance, Erich Gliebe. Well, what with the AIG fiasco taking up all of the headline space and the television news program time lately, it seems that there hasn't been much room for anything else of interest with regard to national news. Sure, the economy continues to gasp along, more people are getting permanently laid off, and everyone is worried about keeping bread on the table. But, as if all of these day-to-day issues aren't enough to worry about, there is something else that is happening on the national scene that should concern those of us who are intent on securing a future of peace and prosperity for the White race. The "something else" that I am referring to is the renewed campaign to essentially disarm law-abiding Americans or, failing that, to induce American gun owners to become outlaws -- that is, criminals. The campaign's latest assault comes in the form of two pieces of legislation One is Bill H.R. 45, "Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009," and the other is the so-called "Ammunition Accountability Act." Today, I will talk a little about these two pieces of anti-American legislation and their implications for the future. The Blair Holt bill derives its name from a young man in Chicago, Blair Holt, who was killed in a gang-related bus shooting in May of 2007. In response to this event, Illinois Representative Bobby Rush introduced the bill to Congress later in 2007. No action was taken on the bill at the time, but Representative Rush re-introduced it in January of this year as H.R. 45. H.R. 45 is an attempt to make sure that the federal government knows about who has firearms, what they have, when they bought them and for what price, and from whom. It does this by instructing the Attorney General of the United States to maintain a record of sale system, complete with a tracking authorization number, and so on. The bill outlaws possessing of a firearm without a license and specifies penalties for violations, such as for failing to report the loss or theft of a firearm to the Attorney General within 72 hours, for failing to report an address change to the Attorney General within 60 days, or for violating the provision that all firearm sales must go through an authorized dealer. The Ammunition Accountability Act, on the other hand, was a piece of legislation introduced in about 20 different states over the last two years. One provision was that all ammunition be encoded with a number -- basically, bar-coded -- so that it can be matched up to a particular person in the event of a criminal investigation. Another provision was that, by a certain time, all non-coded ammunition must be disposed of by a certain date. In all states in which it was introduced, the Ammunition Accountability Act failed miserably and so far has not been re-introduced. The liberals, of course, are making fun of firearm activists for worrying about the Blair Holt bill and the Ammunition Accountability Act. The Blair Holt bill died a quick death in Congress two years ago, disappearing before any congressman outside Illinois even knew what it was. The various Ammunition Accountability Acts in a large sampling of states died similarly, without making hardly even the tiniest blip on the radar screen of legislation that might have a chance of making it. So -- the reasoning goes -- what is there to get all worked up about? Why bother wasting breath and worrying about hopeless legislation? Well, there are a couple of reasons -- perhaps not to get worked up -- but at least to be vigilant. Firstly, the Blair Holt bill did, in fact, die a quick death the first time, but now it has come up again. Perhaps it will die this time, too, but it or something like it is bound to continue being introduced until it finally gets passed. No one knows how long that will take, but the seed has been planted. It is just a question of how long it will take to sprout and take root: months, years, decades? A similar argument holds for the Ammunition Accountability Act. True, it is gone for the moment, but it will come back. The idea that every piece of ammunition should be coded is not going away, not as long as those who are pulling the levers of power are still riding herd over the rest of us. But the worst part of the recent attempts at gun control legislation is that the name "gun control legislation" is a misnomer. In other words, it isn't really about gun control; it's about people control. The men in power don't care about controlling guns; they care about controlling people who might use guns. And I should be even more specific than that. It isn't just about controlling people who might use guns, because these pieces of legislation -- failed or not -- are NOT directed at the criminal element of the population who routinely use guns in their everyday activities: drug smuggling and distribution; gang-related, organized crime; and so on. Legislation like H.R. 45 and the Ammunition Accountability Act are directed at law-abiding citizens like you and me who would only dream of using a firearm in the most dire of situations, such as needing to protect ourselves or our family members from intruders. But what about other types of dire situations? What if the economic crisis the country is in snowballs? What if widespread rioting and chaos such as that mentioned in Dr. William Pierce's novel The Turner Diaries or Thomas Chittum's forecast of America's future, Civil War Two? There are any number of scenarios that could force law-abiding citizens into a corner that could result in those citizens taking up arms against enemies. The recent firearms legislation, whether it passes this time around or not, only proves what firearms activists have been saying for decades now: The United States is under the thumb of men who are out to squash the freedoms our forefathers intended to bequeath to us. The National Rifle Association and others view the right to keep and bear arms as one of the most fundamental of those freedoms. White racialists share that view, but we share it NOT because the Second Amendment allows us to safeguard ourselves and our close family members, but rather because a large mass of people -- namely, the White race -- that has been disarmed is a defenseless entity. And in this world, to be defenseless is to die without a trace. I'd like to end this broadcast by reading a letter allegedly received from a constituent by Iowa Senator Thomas Harkin. The letter's subject is illegal immigration, which has taken a backseat to the economy in the media's gossip circles, although it continues unabated. The letter has been made widely available on the Internet and so many of you may already be familiar with it. The version I quote here is from an article by Randy Cauthron that can still be found in the August 4, 2008 Web edition of The Daily Reporter out of Spencer, Iowa (www.spencerdailyreporter.com/story/1450036.html). I quote from Mr. Cauthron's article: "The following is said to be an actual letter from an Iowa resident sent to Iowa's U.S. Sen. Tom Harkin. I can't confirm that it's true, even turning to SNOPES to research its integrity. SNOPES had no record. Regardless, however, is the fact that if indeed all these things are being offered to our "temporary guests," I wouldn't be in a hurry to leave. "As a matter of fact, like the supposed author of the letter, I'm sure there are many people who would like to find a way to get these benefits. Here's an unconfirmed letter to Sen. Harkin. Real or not, it makes some strong points. The Honorable Tom Harkin 731 Hart Senate Office Building Phone (202) 224 3254 Washington DC, 20510 Dear Senator Harkin, As a native Iowan and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Department of Homeland Security in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you. My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to illegal alien stems from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted. If my understanding of this bill's provisions is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, all I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out. Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005. Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using the local emergency room as my primary health care provider. Once I have stopped paying premiums for medical insurance, my accountant figures I could save almost $10,000 a year. Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school applications, as well as 'in-state' tuition rates for many colleges throughout the United States for my son. Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden of renewing my driver's license and making those burdensome car insurance premiums. This is very important to me given that I still have college-age children driving my car. If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative. Thank you for your assistance. Your Loyal Constituent, (Name Withheld Intentionally) Burlington , IA There are at least two important connections between the illegal immigration issues described in the above letter and the renewed interest in outlawing law-abiding Americans who own firearms. Firstly, it has been well-documented that illegal immigrants have little regard for the concept of private property. Ranchers in the American Southwest are constantly pleading with the federal government to halt illegal immigration because the immigrants trespass on ranchers' property and leave behind a wake of litter, which often results in illness or death of livestock. And there is of course a criminal element among illegal immigrants, and these people do what they please and take what they please; after all, if they get caught, they spend a few days eating free food in jail and then they are sent back to Mexico, where they are free to jump the border again as if nothing happened. If an illegal immigrant threatened harm to an American citizen or his family or his property, a natural response would be to use a firearm. With thousands more illegals every day, the likelihood of that scenario playing out increases. But the federal government, as we have seen, is seeking to hamper the rights of law-abiding American gun owners. So that is one connection. The other is more fundamental, and it's this: Both firearms legislation and illegal immigration serve to weaken the White race. The first restricts the White race's ability to defend itself, and the second decreases the White race's position of strength relative to other races. And THAT is the crux of the matter for all White people everywhere. Why is the power structure in the United States so bent on destroying the White race? Why does every action taken by that power structure point to the same end? Those are questions you need to find answers to. I try to give you some of those answers every week on these broadcasts, but spoon-feeding by me isn't enough. Take responsibility for your life. Find out what's going on, and then DO something about it.
